摘要

Abstract

Objective:To breed a superior cultivar of Atractylode smacrocephala Koidz.Methods:Systematic breeding method was used for the breeding of a new cultivar from wild germplasm of A.macrocephala in Zhejiang province.During the breeding process,agronomictraits of the breeding materials were evaluated and compared with those of local varieties.Results:The cultivar "Zhezhu No.1" was obtained via single-plant selection for 7 years.The performance of the cultivar was superior in both breeding material comparison and large-scale regional fieldtrials.It was approved by Zhejiang Provincial Variety Approval Committee with theCertification number 2014003 of non-major-crop varieties in Zhejiang Province.In the 2-year field trials,"Zhezhu No.1"performedsignificantly better than local varieties in both agronomic and quality traits with average yield of 3840 kg·hm-2.The duration of maturation of "Zhezhu No.1"is 241 to 250 d,earlier than that of the control variety.The population of "Zhezhu No.1"wasuniform in evaluated traits with high resistance to the common pathogens.The survival rate wasas high as 76.99%.Average weight of single rhizome was about 72 g.The first-grade products ratewas 54.79%.The content of volatile oil was 2.67 mL per 100 gdry weight with the extraction rateof 40%.Conclusion: "ZhezhuNo.1"is a representative cultivar of A.macrocephalawith greatcomprehensive agronomic traits.It will be the best choice of A.macrocephalafor production.
