摘要

Abstract

To explore the feasibility of 5% strontium-containing brushite bone cement used as a bone defect repair material in a rabbit mandibular alveolar bone defect model.18 healthy rabbits were randomly divided into three groups.Rabbits were defected in bilateral mandibular, and the defect of blank control group without any implantation , brushite group and 5% strontium-doped brushite group were implanted brushite and 5% strontium-doped brushite respectively.The animals of each group were killed at 4, 8 weeks after operation, observing the renovation of the defect by gross observation, CBCT and immunohistochemistry.The results of CBCT indicated that the defect of 5% strontium-doped brushite group have been basically repaired at 8 weeks, partial defect of brushite group repaired , but blank control group unfinished the renovation of bone defects.Immunohistochemistry showed that the expression of OPG was highest at 4 weeks and decreased at 8 weeks.At 4 weeks and 8 weeks comparison between the three groups, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The osteogenic effect of 5% strontium-doped brushite cement is viable in the renovation of rabbit alveolar bone defects, which can shorten the recovery time, and might be used as a material for repairing bone defect.
