摘要

Abstract

Traveling-wave protection and under-voltage protection fail to detect the high-impedance ground fault in HVDC line protection,meanwhile the special block logic of line longitudinal differential protection increase the operation time and make it hard to be the back-up protection.Under this condition,pole control protection would act the fault and block the pole.Combined with the examples of Tian-Guang HVDC transmission project and based on the PSCAD/EMTDC simulation platform,the reason of differential protection disoperation is analyzed,in connection with the fault records and the simulation results.Furthermore,this paper proposes several optimizing strategies for the differential protection disoperation problem and designs a criterion to solve it in principle,which uses AC voltage.The simulation results of the actual HVDC transmission project verify the availability of this criterion.
