Abstract

Carrying out risk evaluation of the land subsidence in the coastal area of Jiangsu Province,which can provide service for the sustainable development of the region's economic construction and is also in favour of the local geological environment.In the essay,the analytic hierarchy-comprehensive index method was used to take overlay analysis between cumulative surface subsidence volume(from 1985 to 2014) and rate of land subsidence(in 2014) in order to form the map of regional land subsidence hazardous zoning.Then,using this method,the ground elevation,density of population,GDP,roads and fixed investment was selected as the indexes to draw the vulnerability zoning map.Finally,the product method was used to carry out the risk evaluation of the land subsidence in coastal area of Jiangsu Province.The evaluation results show that:High-risk area accounts for 18.71% of total area and most of it concentrats in Nantong City,secondly distributs in County of Jianhu,Sheyang,Funing,Xiangshui,town of Yancheng City and Guannan County of Lianyungang City.High-risk area is almost surrounded by medium-risk area,which accounts for 33.69% of the total area.The other area is low-risk and which accounts for 47.60%.On the basis of the results and taking the present situation of land subsidence and the existing protection measures into consideration,several targeted suggestions were given on preventing and controlling the land subsidence of each risk area.
