Abstract

Some hot springs are actually deep geothermal fluids which overflow out of the earth surface through deep faults.Therefore,the properties of deep faults and deep geothermal fluids should be determined according to the fluctuation of hot springs related to solid earth tide.This paper analyzes solid earth tide and hot spring flow rate fluctuation and chooses two representative geothermal fields in Xinyi and Fengliang,Guangdong Province to make the comparison with solid earth tide deformation.The study also analyzes the lag by using cross-correlation function.Then the paper discusses the influence upon conductivity of deep faults made by solid earth tide.The study results show that the influence of the solid earth tide on the the conductivity of deep fault depends on the degree between significant direction of solid tide deformation and deep fault direction,and that the conductivity decreases when the degree is close to 90.Conductivity would increase around 1st and 15th day in calendar,and fall down in between days.This research developed a unique combination of significant direction of solid tide deformation and deep fault stress state to study earth tide effects on crust fault zone groundwater system.Both regional and time scale results in this paper will provide data and theoretical reference for other researches in this field.
