Abstract
Objective:To investigate the efficacy of EEG bio-feedback instrument in treating depressive patients with sleep disorders.Methods:Eighty-four patients with depression accompanied by sleep disorders were selected and randomly divided into two groups,the experimental and control groups (n=42 respectively).The cases in the control group were treated with routine drug therapy and psychotherapy;while those in the experimental group were administrated with routine drug therapy,psychotherapy and EEG bio-feedback therapy.The Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) were used to evaluate all the patients before,3 and 6 weeks after treatment,respectively.Results:There were no statistical differences in the HAMD and PSQI scores between the two groups before treatment (P＞0.05).The HAMD and PSQI scores in the experimental group were statistically lower than those in the control group at 3 and 6 weeks after treatment (P＜0.05).Conclusion:EEG bio-feedback is an effective to treat patients with depression accompanied by sleep disorders.关键词
