Abstract
Today's on-load tap changer(OLTC) adopts two switches of the diverter switch taking the first close and then opened switching sequence with an ohmic resistor to achieve that the OLTC operation can be carried out without current interruptions.This way has many shortcomings.In order to overcome these shortcomings,a new OLTC is proposed in this paper.New OLTC adopts two switchs of the diverter switch taking the first open and then close switching sequence with the voltage triggered thyristor circuits to achieve that the OLTC operation can be carried out without current interruptions.The thyristor circuits are controlled by reliable and low-power contacts,to ensure that the new OLTC is of high reliability.A simulation model based on MATLAB/Simulink is built and the new OLTC is simulated.The results show that new OLTC is feasible.关键词
