Abstract
Objective To observe red cell distribution width (RDW) of patients with atherosclerotic cerebral infarction (ATCI) and to investigate its clinical significance. Methods A total of 90 patients with ATCI admitted during January 2015 and February 2016 were selected as observation group, and other 90 healthy people taking medical examination were chosen as control group.Biochemical indexes such as plasma total protein (TP),prealbumin (PA),albumin (ALB),globulin (GLB),Direct bilirubin (DBIL),total bilirubin (TBIL),low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL),total cholesterol (TC),triglyceride (TG) and cystatin-C (Cys-C),hemoglobin (Hb),haematocrit (HCT),mean corpuscular volume (MCV) and RDW were compared in two groups, and correlations with otherosclerotic cerebral infarction were observed. Results There were significant differences in hypertension,PA,TP,ALB,GLB and albumin/globulin (A/G) (P < 0.05,P < 0.01).In observation group,RBC level was significantly lower, while MCV and RDW levels were significantly higher than those in control group (P < 0.01).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that RDW was an independent risk factor for atherosclerotic cerebral infarction (P < 0.001).Conclusion RDW level is an important factor influencing pathogenesis of atherosclerotic cerebral infarction, and it has a certain significance for evaluating disease prognosis.关键词
