超高频雷达系统海面风向反演试验研究
Experimental research on inversion of ocean surface wind direction with UHF radar system

Abstract
Ultra high frequency (UHF) radar was used for inversion of ocean wind direction.Wind direction was derived based upon the ratio of the approach-recede first-order Bragg lines.The angle information was extracted after digital beam-forming,and multi-beam least squares method was applied to eliminate ambiguity to determine reasonable wind direction.Over one week,the radar-derived wind direction was highly correlated with buoy data,with coefficient of 0.85 and the root mean square error of about 25°.In addition,while under small wind speed,the correlation coefficient and root mean square error of radar and buoy is 0.9 and 26°,respectively.The experimental results show that it is feasible and effective to monitor sea surface wind direction by UHF radar.关键词
