Influence of Ground Effect on FSAE Car Diffuser Design
摘要
Abstract
This paper describes the influence of ground effect on the form of diffuser.The FSAE car diffuser is designed on the premise of meeting the requirements of FSAE car design rules.The computational fluid dynamics (CFD) technique is adopted to simulate the diffuser flow field,and the diffuser is further optimized to enhances its working efficiency,which provides more downforce for the car and improves the handling stability and safety of the car.The analysis show that the lift coefficient of the FSAE car is decreased from 0.391 originally to-0.371 with the designed diffuser,and the drag coefficient changes from 0.589 into 0.583.关键词
