摘要
Abstract
Objective:To compare the effects of ethanol-wet bonding and water-wet bonding technique on the resin bond strength and durability to the pulp chamber dentin.Methods:Thirty-two extracted human impacted third molars were cut horizontally to expose the pulp chamber with pulp tissues were removed and the canal orifices were sealed. They were randomly divided into 4 groups(n=8).The techniques of ethanol-wet bonding and water-wet bonding by using ethanol/water-based adhesive Single Bond 2(SB)and acetone-based adhesive One Step(OS)were applied in the pulp chamber dentin-resin bonding experiments.Thirty-two micro tensile samples in each group were tested in the micro tensile tester immediately and aging test of 6 months and 3000 thermal cycles. Each fractured sample was examined by SEM.Results:For the ethanol wet-bonding groups, the 24 h bond strength of the two etch-and-rinse adhesives were significantly higher than those of their water wet-bonding controls(P<0.05),and after accelerated aging,no decreases in bond strengths were observed(P>0.05).The SEM observation showed that in the ethanol wet-bonding groups, most of the fractured modes were mixed failures, there was no significantly difference before and after accelerated aging(P>0.05).For the water wet-bonding groups, the 24 h bond strengths of SB group were significantly higher than OS group(P<0.05).But both of them were significantly decreased after accelerated aging(P<0.05).Conclusion:Comparing to water wet-bonding,ethanol wet-bonding can improve the bond strength and bond durability to the pulp chamber dentin.关键词
