Degradation of papermaking wastewater by ozone with TiO2/AC

Abstract
TiO2/AC catalysts were prepared by sol-gel method.The properties of the catalysts were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM),BET specific surface area from nitrogen adsorption and X-ray diffraction (XRD).TiO2/AC catalysts were applied to the ozonation of papermaking wastewater treatment.The catalytic and reusable performance of TiO2/AC was investigated,and surface properties of TiO2/AC before and after reaction were analyzed,and the degradation products of papermaking wastewater were detected.Results showed that titanium dioxide was uniform loaded on the surface and the pore of activated carbon.The catalyst calcined at 500℃ was anatase and rutile mixed crystal.After 60 minutes of catalytic ozonation,the chroma and chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal rate of papermaking wastewater reached 96.8% and 60.4%,which were 1.8% and 9.9% higher than the ozonation alone.Papermaking wastewater composition was mainly esters and alkane,and after catalytic ozonation,macromolecular material was degraded to some small molecules.关键词
