摘要

Abstract

The surface modified microcapsules (MUF1 and MUF2) were prepared via silane coupling agent triethoxy vinyl silane (KH-151) and γ,-methacryloxypropyl trimethoxy silane (KH-570),and then graft modification was applied to microcapsules by KH-570 to obtain MUF3.Different modification agent,modification temperature,and modification methods on structure and properties of the microcapsules were compared,and the morphology,structure and thermal properties of the microcapsules were characterized by OM,SEM,FTIR,XPS and TGA.The modified microcapsules were applied to unsaturated polyester/carbon fiber (UP/CF) composites,and the structure and properties of the composites were tested by FTIR,TGA and mechanical properties test.The results show that the shapes of MUF1 and MUF2 are regular and the surface are roughness when the temperature is 60℃,and graft modification has a better effect on microcapsules than that of surface modification.The combination between the microcapsules and unsaturated polyester matrix can be improved by the modification of microcapsules.The comprehensive mechanical properties of UP/CF/MUF3 composites are the best,compared with UP/CF/unmodified MUF composites,the tensile strength has increased by 124.5%,the impact strength has increased by 6.5%,the elastic modulus has reduced by 20.4%,the elongation at break has reduced by 3.8%,and self-healing efficiency can reach 70.77%.
