摘要

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety ofpercutaneous kyphoplasty in treating old nonunion osteoporotic thoracolumbar vertebral compressive fractures.Methods 31 cases ofold nonunion osteoporotic thoracolumbar vertebral compressive fractures were treated by percutaneous kyphoplasty under C armed fluroscopy image guiding.The clinical effect was evaluated by observing the charges ofvisual analog scale (VAS),the Cobb's angle and height ofvertebral bodies.Results All cases were treated successfully.The height of the anterior and middle line vertebral body was from (11.2±2.7) mm,(14.7±3.1) mm preoperatively to (17.9±2.6) mm,(20.2±3.3) mm (P<0.05) postoperatively,and at final follow-up (17.1 ±2.1) mm,(19.7±3.6) mm.The mean kyphosis was improved from (25.8±5.4) ° to (13.5±4.7)° (P<0.05),and final follow-up (13.9±4.3) °.The back pain was marked relieved;VAS were (8.2±1.1),preoperatively and (2.5±0.6),postoperatively (P<0.05) and correction of the deforming was maintained well after 3 monthes.During the follow up,no complication occurred.Conclusion The percutaneous kyphoplasty is simple and safe in treating old nonunion osteoporotic thoracolumbar vertebral compressive fractures.It can fast relieve pain,improve patients quality of life.
