Seismic frequency-domain 2D forward modeling based on parallel algorithms

Abstract
Frequency-domain forward is the basis of frequency-domain full waveform inversion. In order to solve the computationally intensive in inversion, we apply a combination of coarse-fined grained MPI parallel algorithm based on frequencies and multi-source simulations computing independently in frequency-domain forward modeling. We use coarse grained in frequency parallel and fine grained in solve equations parallel. To realization the method, we put different frequency group of forward modeling in different MPI communicators to make the frequencies computing independently. In each communicator, we use MUMPS (Multi-frontal Massively Parallel Sparse Direct Solver) based on MPI to speedup the method of solving equations. The MPI parallel algorithm can provide reference to other geophysical methods of the multi-source and multi-frequency forward computational efficiency.关键词
