Abstract
In order to investigate the relationship between tenascin-C expression and the biological behavior of canina mammary tumors,pathology of tumor tissues was examined and classified.Meanwhile,tissues from 23 canine mammary tumors and two normal mammary glands were analysed for the expression of tenascin-C by SABC immunohistochemistry.The results showed that the cases consisted of 7 benign tumors (7/23,30.43％),13 malignant tumors (13/23,56.52％) and 3 hyperplasia (3/23,13.05％).The benign tumors cases included 3 benign mixed tumor cases,2 intraductal papillary adenoma cases,1 fibroadenoma case and 1 complex adenomas case.And for malignant tumors cases,there were 5 carcinoma-anaplastic cases,3 carcinosarcoma cases,2 carcinoma-cribriform cases,2 carcinoma-solid cases and 1 carcinoma arising in a mixed tumor case.Positive reaction oftenascin-C protein was mainly found in the extracellular matrix.Tenascin-C protein was found in 3/7 (42.85％) benign tumors and 6/13 (46.15％) malignant tumors,but no significant expression was observed in normal and hyperplasia mammary glands.In conclusion,the expression of tenascin-C may serve as an indicator in the diagnosis of canine mammary gland tumors.关键词
