Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship between post-traumatic growth (PTG) and social support in patients with mild to moderate traumatic brain injury.Methods By convenience sampling methods,120 patients with mild to moderate traumatic brain injury were investigated by the questionnaire of PTG inventory and perceived Social Support Scale.SPSS 17.0 software was used to analyze the data.Results The values of PTG score showed normal distribution,and the total score of PTG was 61.87±7.67,in which the life perception scored the highest,following by the new possibilities,relationship with others,personal strength,self-change.The results of correlation analysis demonstrated that social support and PTG was moderate positively correlated(r =0.504,P＜0.001).The multivariant linear regression analysis showed that the summation of each dimensions could predict 27.0％ general variation of PTG.Family support,friend support and other supports were closely related to the PTG and had significantly influence on PTG score,in comparison with other two factors,the family support level was more closely.Conclusion The PTG of patients with traumatic brain injury is at a low level,which still should be improved.Social support and family support would improve PTG,especially the later is more important.关键词
