Abstract
Objective To study the clinical pathogenesis,imaging characteristic,diagnosis,differential diagnosis of central giant cell lesion(CGCL).Methods The clinical features of 6 cases diagnosed as CGCL were retrospectively reviewed.The characteristic of morphology and results of immunohistochemical expression were analyzed.Results There were 5 cases female and 1 case male in 6 patients.The age of CGCL onset from 14 to 58 years (median age was 30 years),masses of central giant cell lesion were about 2～5 cm(average size of 3.6 cm).Mostly were involved in the mandible (n--4),other in maxilla (n=2).Patients mainly presented nonspecific pain and local swelling.All the cases showed similar morphology under the microscope,the bone tissues replaced by hyperplastic fibrous tissues,in which accompanied interstitial hemorrhage,hemosiderosis,osteoclast-like giant cell and reactive osteogenesis.All cases were treated with extensive curettage or local earision of leision region.Conclusion CGCL is a limited benign lesion,but sometimes with invasion and destruction,and mainly confirmed by histopathologic examination and immunohistochemistry,it also needed to be distinguished from giant cell tumor or brown tumor.关键词
