Basic Factors Leading to the Migration of the Oscillation Center and Its Sensitivity

Abstract
The regularity that the sum of the instantaneous frequency of voltage and current at the oscillation center is equal to the sum of the equivalent electric potential frequency was found.Three basic factors leading to the migration of the oscillation center were discussed in this paper,respectively as dominant oscillation mode alternation,equivalent potential difference and impedance ratio change.That the inereases of out-of-step interface impedance due to line breaking or series compensation device bypass do not cause the oscillation center to move out the initial out-of-step surface was proved by theoretical analysis . The influence of different disturbances on the oscillation center migration were analyzed based on equivalent impedance characteristics of Central China and North China power grid.For a two machine oscillation mode,The increases of system equivalent impedance at one side of oscillation center due to generator tripping will cause the oscillation center move to the disturbance occurrence side,even more serious,it may cause the oscillation center to move out the initial surface.For a two machine oscillation mode with better coherence,in addition to voltage collapse,the difference of electric potential is very small,which cause the oscillation center to move on a small scale and usually does not affect the out-of-step islanding control.On the contrary,the generating units at the same side of oscillation center with bad coherence can lead to a substantial change of the equivalent electric potential ratio,which may cause the oscillation center move out the initial surface.If the control measures is not carried out quickly,it can be evolved into multi-group oscillation and leads to the large scale migration of the oscillation center due to the change of dominant instability mode,which should be focused on.关键词
