Impact of SO2 and H2O on Gas-phase Arsenic Removal by Sorbent Fe2O3/γ-Al2O3 in Simulated Flue Gas of Oxy-coal Combustion

Abstract
The sorbent of Fe2O3/γ-Al2O3 prepared by ultrasonic-assisted precipitation method were applied to remove gas-phase arsenic in simulated flue gas of oxy-coal combustion.To investigate the influence of high concentration of carbon dioxide,sulfur dioxide and water vapor on gas-phase arsenic removal by Fe2O3/γ-Al2O3 in oxy-coal combustion,a laboratory scale experiment was carried out.The results show that CO2 greatly inhibits arsenic removal by Fe2O3/γ-Al2O3 and high concentration of H2O can promote adsorption process to a certain extent.Within a certain concentration,the increase of SO2 has a promotion effect to adsorption.Once the SO2 concentration exceeds a certain value,it brings inhibition.And at this point,the increase of oxygen concentration will contribute to eliminate the inhibition effect of high concentration of SO2.关键词
