Abstract

One zero voltage switch (ZVS) push-pull high frequency link DC/AC converter with voltage clamping is proposed.Firstly,the evolution of the proposed DC/AC converter is presented.Then,the switching strategy is proposed and the steady working principle is analyzed in detail.The average model of the proposed converter is discussed by using the state-spacing-averaging approach.By contrast,it is found that the proposed converter and the phase-shift full-bridge DC/AC converter have similar characteristics.Switches S1,S2 can realize ZVS turn-on easily and the auxiliary switch S3 can achieve ZVS turn-on under enough energy stored in leakage inductor.Meanwhile,the voltage of S3 can be clamped at Uin with a clamp diode.In addition,the cycloconverter can also achieve ZVS commutation easily.In addition,the proposed topology solves the problem of hard-switching that resulting in high switching losses.Finally,one prototype of 500VA/48VDC/110V/50Hz AC is developed and the test results show that the theoretical analyses and principle are correct.The efficiency of the prototype can reach 91.5%.
