Research and Application on Network Security of SMV in Smart Substation

摘要

Abstract

With the development of smart substation and the further research of tri-network merge (station level network(MMS), process level network (sampled measured value (SMV) and generic object oriented substation event (GOOSE)), the research on network security and its application of SMV are becoming more and more critical. Based on the power data and communication security standard IEC 62351, the information security and the SMV were studied and analyzed in this paper. The sampled value message was reformed by adding time domain information, cyclic redundancy check (CRC) verification data and certification data. After that, the corresponding processing mechanism dealing with SMV security risk was given and interaction processes of client and server was designed. Many risks in the process of SMV transmission can be avoided, such as illegal tampering and relay attacks. Based on the existing smart substation devices, the corresponding sampling and communication modules were developed and were integrated into protection devices, measurement and control devices and merging unit.These devices have been put into services in smart substation.
