摘要

Abstract

Objective To observe the influence of visfatin on glucose transporter 4 (GLUT-4) and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase isoform (PI3K) in skeletal muscle of kkay mice. Methods C57BL/6J mice were randomly divided into normal diet group (group CON) and high-fat diet group (group HFD); kkay mice were divided into diabetic group (group DM) and visfatin treatment group (group V). PI3K and GLUT-4 mRNA and protein expressions in the skeletal muscle were measured by qRT-PCR and Western blot. Results In the group V, blood glucose significantly decreased after intraperitoneal injection of visfatin (p =0.013). PI3K and GLUT-4 mRNA and protein expressions of skeletal muscle were significantly lower in the group DM than in the groups CON and HFD ( p< 0.05). PI3K and GLUT-4 mRNA and protein expressions of skeletal muscle were significantly higher in the group V than in the group DM ( p<0.05). Conclusions Visfatin increases the expressions of PI3K and GLUT-4 in skeletal muscle.
