Abstract
Objective To probe the effect of intermittent aerobic exercise on blood pressure of spontaneous hypertensive rat (SHR), and investigate the methods and mechanism of exercise in the prevention and treatment of hypertension. Methods Thirty SHR were separated into intermittent aerobic exercise group (group IAE ) and control group (group C). The group IAE performed 8 weeks of intermittent treadmill exercise, and their blood pressure and blood lipid were measured before and after exercise. Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of adrenomedullin (ADM) in myocardium and coronary vessels. Immunoblotting was applied for quantification of specific receptors RAMP2 and CRLR of ADM in cardiac muscle. Results Blood pressure and blood lipid in the group IAE were significantly lower than those in the group C ( p< 0.05). The expression of ADM in myocardium and coronary vessels of the group IAE was obviously higher than that in the group C. The content of ADM, RAMP2 and CRLR in the cardiac muscle was obviously increased in the group IAE (p < 0.05). Conclusions Intermittent aerobic exercise reduces blood pressure and blood lipid of SHR, increases the expression of ADM in myocardium and coronary vessels, and up-regulate their specific receptors CRLR and RAMP2. The decrease in blood pressure caused by intermittent aerobic exercise may be related to the change of ADM and the regulation of its specific receptors, which could be one of the mechanisms of intermittent aerobic exercise in the prevention and treatment of hypertension.关键词
