Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical application value of Chinese medicine plus Western medicine in the treatment of piebald skin vitiligo. Methods Domestic and international databases were retrieved, and related literature about Chinese medicine plus Western medicine for the treatment of piebald skin vitiligo was collected. Then Review Manager 5.1 software was used for Meta analysis. Results A total of 8 Chinese articles were included in the analysis, among which 5 articles were of grade A and 3 were of grade B. There were totally 851 patients including 514 cases in the test groups and 337 cases in the control groups. Random effect model was used for Meta analysis. The results showed that the combination of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine treatment was more effective for vitiligo than pure Western medicine treatment [RR = 1.14,RR 95% CI (1.06,1.24)], the difference was statistically significant ( z= 3.41,p = 0.0007), and the funnel plot was basically symmetric, the literature had no publication bias. Western medicine for treatment of vitiligo mainly consisted of Tacrolimus Ointment or Levamisole, trace elements and vitamins, while the traditional Chinese medicine mainly included Peach kernel, Angelica, Safflower, Radix Astragali, Rhizoma Chuanxiong, Radix Paeoniae Rubra, Tribulus terrestris, Lithospermum, Cuttlefish bone, Placenta, Herba Ecliptae and Fructus Psoraleae. Conclusions Chinese medicine plus Western medicine could improve the curative effect for Piebald skin vitiligo, and the mainly-used drugs could provide scientific basis for searching the treatment method of vitiligo.关键词
