Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship between the expression levels of p53 and Ki67 in gastric cancer tissues and the quality of life and clinical prognosis of patients with gastric cancer. Method The clinical data of 1135 patients with gastric cancer in our hospital from May 2009 to May 2012 were retrospectively analyzed, 1035 patients completed follow-up, collected the expression of Ki67 and p53 in patients with gastric cancer, recorded of patients with metastasis, recurrence or death, all patients were assessed with MOS 36-item short form health survey (SF-36) to explore the relationship between the expression levels of p53 and Ki67 in gastric cancer tissues and the quality of life and clinical prognosis. Result In 1035 patients, 407 patients with p53 positive, 628 patients with p53 negative; 306 patients with Ki67 positive, 729 patients with Ki67 negative. The general health, physical function, vitality, role emotional, mental health and social function scores of p53 positive patients were significantly lower than those of p53 negative patients (P < 0.05). The general health, physiological function, vitality, role emotional, mental health and social function scores of Ki67 positive patients were significantly lower than those of Ki67 negative patients (P < 0.05). Logistic analysis showed that p53 positive (P = 0.03), Ki67 positive (P = 0.02), and TNM stage (P = 0.02) were the independent risk factors for poor prognosis in patients with gastric cancer. Conclusion The expression levels of p53 and Ki67 in gastric cancer are closely related to the quality of life and prognosis.关键词
