Abstract

Blade is the key part of centrifugal fans. In order to study the effect of blade type improvement on the vibration of centrifugal fans, the aerodynamic excitation of a centrifugal fan is simulated. Through steady flow calculation, it is found that the improvement of the blade type can delay the flow separation and reduce the incentive factors of the induced vibration. Through unsteady flow calculation, it is found that the effect of blade improvement on the aerodynamic excitation of the centrifugal fan is mainly reflected in the reduction of pressure pulsation, especially in the decrease of the blade frequency pulsation. According to the analysis of the simulation results, the vibration change of the centrifugal fan is evaluated. Test results of the sample fan show that the improvement of blade type can reduce the vibration of blade frequency and the aerodynamic analysis can provide a criterion for the improvement effect evaluation of the fan design.
