Abstract

Noise control of a domestic air conditioner compressor is studied. Based on the noise generation mechanism, the noise of the compressor is measured and analyzed, and the noise control schemes are deigned. The SEA acoustic simulations of three different noise reduction schemes are carried out and the optimal scheme is selected and realized. Results of the test show that the noise reduction at each measurement point can reach 3 dB(A)-6 dB(A), and the sound reduction of point 2 near the compressor is 5.3 dB(A). These results are consistent to the simulation results. Thus, the effectiveness of the scheme is verified.
