Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of respiratory function training in preoperative nursing for degenerative scoliosis (DS) patients. Methods A total of 60 DS patients with selective operation were randomly divided into the control group (n=29) and the observation group (n=31). Both two groups received routine preoperative nursing and enhanced respiratory function training was carried out in the observation group. The arterial blood gas analysis was carried out and the efficacy of respiratory function training was evaluated in both two groups. Results Patients in the observation group had a higher level of forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1) and arterial oxygen pressure (PaO2), and lower partial pressure of carbon dioxide (PaCO2), compared with those in the control group (P<0.05or P<0.01). The efficacy rate of respiratory function training was 83.87％(26/31) in the observation group and was 72.41％(21/29)in the control group, with no significant difference (P>0.05). Conclusion Enhanced respiratory function training is potentially effective to improve the pulmonary function in DS patients.关键词
