摘要

Abstract

Edge cracking often appears in the cold rolled plate which is produced by a steel company in Hebei.The reason for the edge cracking of cold rolled plate and SPHC was analyzed.The results show that the ferrite grain size in the edge of SPHC is thick,the mixed crystal phenomenon is severe there.The size of the largest crystal is 80~100 μm and the size of the minimum crystal is only 5~10 μm,which indicate that there exist over-burning in the process of heating the billet.This is the main reason for edge cracking of cold rolled plate.Rolled-in iron-oxided scale is found in the edge of cold rolled plate and SPHC which can't be eliminated by pickling,this may also result in edge cracking of cold rolled plate.
