摘要

Abstract

Taking Si and Mn alloy steel as the research object,the influence of progressive isothermal quenching on the microstructure and properties of the test steel with different carbon contents were investigated.Meanwhile,the relationship between bainite,martensite and mechanical properties of the steel are also studied.The results show that the increase of carbon content in the steel decreases the contents of lower bantite,increases martensite contents,improves the hardness and reduces the toughness of the test steel;the reduce of bainite content or the increase of martensite content in the medium carbon steel can enhance the hardness of the steel but with a reduce of toughness.When containing 0.48%~0.50% carbon (containing 30~40% lower bainite and 40~50% martensite),the bainite/martensite structure possess a good matching in hardness and toughness,and the material presents an excellent mechanical properties.
