摘要

Abstract

[Objective] To screen out cold-tolerant cultivars of Camellia.[Method] The changes of some cold-resistant physiological indices(relative electrical conductivity, relative water content, soluble protein content in the leaves) of Camellia under the conditions of normal temperature and low temperature (-10 ℃) were studied.[Result] Under the conditions of cold stress, the variation of relative electrical conductivity in the leaves of cold-resistant Camellia cultivars was less than that of cold-sensitive Camellia cultivars, but the variation of relative water content and soluble protein content in the leaves of cold-resistant Camellia cultivars was higher than that of cold-sensitive Camellia cultivars.These results showed that relative electrical conductivity, relative water content, soluble protein content in the leaves could be used as the indices for selecting the cold-resistant cultivars of Camellia.[Conclusion] The research results can provide theoretical basis for further screening out cold-resistant cultivars of Camellia and other ornamental plants.
