摘要

Abstract

Ethernet switch is widely used in high speed data exchange network,and the problem of the power for terminal device connected to it takes some certain limitations for the convenient use and promotion.With the continuous development of Ethernet technology and power technology,the power over Ethernet (PoE) becomes a new kind of power supply solution,which promotes the innovation and progress of network products.It can transmit the packets and electric energy at the same time.In this way,the network devices in daily work and life do not need to reconfigure AC power,so these devices do not need to be placed near the AC power outlet,saving the power cable and cost.The PoE power supply principle was elaborated and the power management strategies and solutions for the Ethernet switch were proposed from application perspective.
