Abstract
A new method of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image speckle noise reduction based on wavelet transform is proposed by using the two-level wavelet decomposition to obtain the sub-band wavelet coefficients HL, LH and HH, which can be used to determine the strength of the corresponding edge direction.By setting the threshold, it is able to determine whether a point is located on the edge or not.The proposed method effectively suppresses speckle noise, while better preserving the edge and texture information of the SAR image.It has the advantages of simple calculation and high efficiency.Through the simulation experiment, it can be seen from the smoothing index and edge keeping index that the proposed method presents better experimental results than other existing methods.关键词
