Abstract

In order to explore the effect of alkalinity of raw materials,water,carbon content on improving sinter drum strength and get a better indicator of the sinter ores.Single factor orthogonal sintering cup test was conducted under the condition of 6 min for granulation time,1050℃ on ignition temperature,2min for ignition time,6kpa on ignition negative,10 kpa on vacuum negative.Research indicates,Alkalinity have a greater impact on sinter drum strength,along with an increase in alkalinity sinter feed CaO content increased and the content of SFCA increased as result,the drum strength increased.During the increasing of carbon content,drum strength increased at first and then decreased,high rate on carbon content results the high reduction rate on Fe2O3,the content of SFCA decreased,as a result drum strength decreased.During the addition of water,appropriate content of moisture have a good impact on sinter bed permeability which results in the improving of drum strength,when the moisture content comes too high,the material layer permeability variation,sintering resistance increases,reducing the drum the drum strength.Taking all tests into condition,when alkalinity at1.98,carbon content at 5.5%,moisture at 6.5%,we could get high quality sinters which have 79.5% drum strength,86.5% yield,56.4% Tfe,and 8.78% FeO.Compared to the original batching system,under the condition of ensuring the grade of Tfe,the drum strength has improved by 5.5 %,yield by 6.0%,and FeO content has also reduced.
