Research progress in classification of retinitis pigmentosa
摘要
Abstract
Retinal pigmentosa (RP) is one of the most common genetic blinding retinal diseases.In recent years, with the development of gene therapy and retinal transplantation in animal experiments, RP has become one of the most promising genetic diseases that could be cured through gene therapy.Because RP is highly sporadic and clinically heterogeneous, there is no standard guidelines in its classification and diagnosis.This paper reviewed recent domestic and international literatures to discuss RP classification and related knowledge, to explore clinical subtypes of RP and its epidemiology, and to improve clinical diagnosis and individual treatment.关键词
