Abstract

Two villages are located in the long shallow-buried section at the entrance of Miaogeng Tunnel of Chengdu-Guiyang Railway under construction.The underground water leakage caused in the evacuation of the tunnel leads to well water or spring reduced,and due to damage to the groundwater environment,the life and production of about 680 local people are directly affected.The causes for water leakage and loss are analyzed by extensive hydrogeology survey around the entrance section of Miaogeng Tunnel,including analysis of aquifers and groundwater recharge runoff characteristics,and collections of the current situation of cave water and surface water leakage.The principle of "leakage stoppage first and discharge limitation" is proposed and a combined measure of radial grouting in cave and advanced peripheral grouting is taken to detain the water and slowly recover the groundwater environment.
