Abstract
Objective:To evaluate changes of serum PCT before and after total joint arthroplasty, explore the value of the serum procalcitonin (PCT),erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),C-reactive protein (CRP) and peripheral blood leukocytes in combination with quantitative detection in the diagnosis of the early infection after the knee replacement. Methods:A total of 105 patients who underwent osteoarthritis were admitted during August 2015 to July 2016,the blood routine,ESR,CRP,PCT were detected before and after operation on the second day.And by postoperative 1 month follow-up of patients to determine whether early infection. Results:In 105 cases of knee arthroplasty in patients with no early infection. There was no significant difference for PCT before and after the operation when the serum PCT levels >0.5 ng/ml (P>0.05).But the difference was obvious when the serum PCT levels >0.2 ng/ml (P <0.05),peripheral blood leukocytes,ESR,CRP were significantly difference before and after surgery. Conclusion:PCT is not affected by the surgery, without infection, after the operation will not be increased (or slightly higher),peripheral blood leukocytes,ESR,CRP were affected by surgery, mostly increased.PCT can better detect the early infection after knee arthroplasty.关键词
