Abstract
Objective To explore the contraceptive effects of Gongxi intrauterine device (IUD) for the placement immediately after painless visual induced abortion.Methods A total of 360 women to receive painless visual induced abortion in our hospital were randomly selected and divided into two groups.The control group was placed with TCu-380A IUD immediately after the operation,and the experiment group was placed with Gongxi IUD.The contraceptive rate,change rate of menstrual pattern (bleeding amount and bleeding time),IUD falling rate and continuation rate in the two groups were observed and compared.Results The contraceptive rate (100％),normal rate of bleeding amount (100％),normal rate of bleeding time (66.67％) and continuation rate (98.33％) in the experiment group were higher than those in the control group,and the IUD falling rate (1.66％) and the rate of pregnancy with IUD in situ (0) were lower than those in the control group.Three months after the operation,the proportion of patients with normal menstrual period (≤ 7 d) in the experiment group was significantly higher than that in the control group,and the mean duration of menstruation was much shorter than that in the control group (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Gongxi IUD has such advantages as high contraception rate,minor side effects,few complications and high continuation rate and may be placed immediately after painless visual induced abortion.Therefore,it may be promoted and applied as a long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) method.关键词
