Abstract

To achieve modular and precision fertilization for flue-cured tobacco in Yuxi,the distribution characteristics of soil nutrients in tobacco planting fields in Yuxi were measured and graded at county level. The results showed that in 2008,villages and towns with higher soil nutrient contents were mainly distributed in eastern river basins; and soil nutrient contents in tobacco-planting soils from dam lands were higher than those from mountainous regions. In 2015,villages and towns with higher N and P soil contents extended from eastern river basins to west and south areas. The available N and P contents in tobacco-planting soils from mountainous regions were higher than those from dam lands. Comparing with the results from 2008,the soil available N,P and K contents increased by 92.54%,24.32% and 34.58% in mountainous regions,and by 20.53%,4.15% and 42.21% in dam lands in 2015,respectively. Within seven years,the soil pH and organic matter contents increased by 8.99% and 2.38% on average in mountainous regions,whiles on average these contents decreased by 5.81% and 10.77% in dam lands,respectively. The pH and organic matter content tended to be around moderate levels. The results provide a reference for a modular and precision fertilization strategy in Yuxi for tobacco-planting soils.
