Abstract
The force ripples in the linear motor make it infeasible to apply in the ultra-precision machines. The harmonics are the main contribution in the force ripples of the ironless permanent magnet synchronous linear motor (ILPMLSM), eliminating some of the harmonics can effectively reduce the force ripples. In this paper, the analytical model of harmonics in the force ripples of the ILPMLSM was established and the relationship between the force ripples and structural parameters was revealed. Based on these, a novel design principle aiming to reduce the force ripples was proposed. The design method for the structural parameters was derived by applying this design principle into the optimal design of a specified type of linear motors. This design method could eliminate the specified harmonics in the force ripples. Finally, the correctness of the analytical model of the force ripples and the effectiveness of the design method were validated by both FEA and experimental test.关键词
