The Experience of Areola Reduction Surgery About Double Circular Line Incision Within the Root Nipple and Areola

Abstract
Objective To summarize and analyze the clinical effect of double circular incision within the root nipple and areola. Methods We retrospectively analyzed 20 patients of areola reduction from January 2010 to June 2016 in the Department, which used the double circular incision within the root nipple areola, kept genuine leather, adopted the method of "pouch" to tighten incision and continuously sutured the skin, took out stitches after 10 to 14 days. Results For 1 to 3 years, follow-up visited the 20 patients who all satisfied the surgical effect. No complications such as hypoesthesia of no nipple and cutaneous necrosis happened. The scar was unobvious after 3 months, areola skin was unnatural early, but recovered after 3-6 months. also the areola color became shallow, which can improve the breast mide prolapse to a certain degree. The areola reduction was no recurrent. Conclusion The areola reduction surgery about double circular line incision can effectively correct the increscent areola. The postoperative scar unobvious scar after the surgery, no relapse patients, hypoesthesia of no nipple. The technique is worth popularizing in clinic.关键词
