Cultivation Technology of Hemp-Jute/Kenaf for Two Batches a Year in Southern Henan province
摘要
Abstract
Xinyang is one of main producing regions of kenaf in China,and it also has hemp and jute planting.Kenaf industry has an important position in southern Henan province.In the past,peasants used to plant bast fiber crops only one batche a year which caused idle land and low benefits.Through three years of field trial,the author designed three different crop stubble time (June 10,June 20,June 30) for the planting pattern of hemp-jute/kenaf,and both of the net income and the output to input ratio increased comparing with those of single planting.The maximum values were obtained around June 20.With the arable land getting less and less at the present,we can improve the land utilization through reasonable arrangement of batche to increase the income of the peasants,which has prominent economic and social benefits.Thus,this planting pattern was suggested to be popularized and applied in large scale.This paper summarized the cultivation technology of hemp-jute/kenaf for two batches a year in detail,and it would provide scientific guidance for bast fiber crops planting.关键词
