Treatment for atrial fibrillation in the elderly

摘要
Abstract
Atrial fibrillation is one of the most common arrhythmia in the aged.The therapeutic strategies mainly include the following aspects:treatment towards pathogens and inducements,control of rhythm,especially the ventricular rhythm,anticoagulation therapy,and prevention of thromboembolism.The treatment towards pathogen and inducement is the foundational treatment for atrial fibrillation.Under some suitable conditions,we should try to regain and maintain sinus rhythm,while in other cases,control of rhythm and anticoagulation therapy for patients may be considered.The preventation of thromboembolism is the core of atrial fibrillation therapy in the aged,and warfarin is still the most widely used anticoagulant at present;novel oral anticoagulants share unique merits,but individualized treatment should be considered,and further observation is needed.关键词
