Abstract
Objective:To compare the clinical significance between endoscopic thyroidectomy via the oral vestibular approach (ETOVA) and endoscopic thyroidectomy via complete areola approach (ETCAA).Methods:The clinical data of 42 patients with thyroid surgery from Oct.2015 to Dec.2016 were retrospectively analyzed.According to the different surgical methods,the patients were divided into ETOVA group (n =21) and ETCAA group (n =21).Comparison was made between the two groups in intraoperative and postoperative data.Results:No significant differences were found between the two groups in the operation time,estimated intraoperative blood loss,hospital stay,white blood cell count,erythrocyte sedimentation rate and C-reactive protein (P ＞ 0.05).However,the difference of postoperative pain score was statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions:ETOVA has a better cosmetic effect and less postoperative pain,it not only has good efficiency,but also fulfills the cosmetic demands of young patients.Regarding to the mandibular flat characteristics of Chinese,this surgical method is worthy of promotion and clinical application.关键词
