Effect of drug combined with functional endoscopic sinus surgery in the treatment of moderate to severe chronic rhinosinusitis without nasal polyps

Abstract
Objective To investigate the efficacy of drug combined with functional endoscopic sinus surgery in the treatment of moderate to severe chronic rhinosinusitis without nasal polyps.Methods 66 patients with moderate to severe chronic rhinosinusitis without nasal polyps from October 2015 to October 2016 were randomly divided into two groups.The patients in the drug group were treated with drug alone,while the patients in the combined group were treated with drug combined with ftmctional endoscopic sinus surgery.The overall treatment effect,subjective and objective effects,and local pain of the two groups were compared.Results The cured rate of the combined group was significantly better than that of the drug group (84.8％ vs.45.5％),with statistically significant difference (P＜0.05).After treatment,SNOT-20 score and Lund-Kennedy score of the combined group were significantly lower than those of the drug group [(7.06±3.62) vs.(14.39±6.04),(1.12±0.57) vs.(2.35±1.38)],cheek VAS score and head VAS score of the combined group were significantly lower than those of the drug group [(0.38±0.22) vs.(1.24±0.70),(0.69±0.58)vs.(1.53±0.96)],with statistically significant differences (P＜0.05).Conclusion Drug combined with functional endoscopic sinus surgery is effective in the treatment of moderate to severe chronic rhinosinusitis without nasal polyps.关键词
