Abstract

Considering the intermittency of distributed generations (DGs) and the controllability of active load and energy storage system (ESS) in the active distribution system (ADS), a method of security classification based on the ADS's total supply capability (ATSC) to evaluate the security of the ADS was put forward. Firstly, the ATSC model with the multiple properties of nodes was proposed including the constraints of DG and ESS. Meanwhile, in order to adopt cone optimization to obtain the ATSC, the nonlinear constraints were converted to the cartesian product of the rotating cone. Secondly, the safety margin, active load entropy, active adjust rate and active safety index were defined based on static security analysis, combining it with the load of loss rate and the threshold crossing rate, the evaluation index system was composed. Then the security classification method of the ADS was proposed, according to which, the ADS was divided into five security levels. Finally, the particle swarm optimization was used for the active load and the method of consistence active control was used for charge-discharge strategy of the ESS. The practicality and effectiveness of the proposed method were verified by the contrast of the safety level's change before and after the optimization.
