摘要

Abstract

Color Rendering Index(CRI)recommended by CIE and Color Quality Scale (CQS) developed by National Institute of Standards and Technology(NIST) are two prime evaluations for color rendering property of light source.Both them are suitable for evaluation of traditional lighting sources,but have not received general acceptance for evaluation of white LED.the applicability of the evaluation standards requires extensive experiments for validation.In the paper, 10 kinds of fluorescent and 32 kinds of LED lamps which are common in the market were measured.And the CRI (Ra)and CQS (Qa) values of these light sources were calculated.The relationshipbetween the two indexes was analyzed through correlation analysis, color discrimination analysis and difference ratio analysis, respectively.The results show that there is significant difference between the two indexes when evaluating RGB LED.However, when evaluating fluorescent lamps and Phosphor white LED small difference was shown between Ra and Qa.And the difference ratio between them is close to 0% when light sources have CRI Ra value above 90.
