Abstract
Objective To know the epidemiologic characteristics of congenital heart disease (CHD) of minority children and adolescents aged 5-14 years old in southern Xinjiang.Methods Totally 39 350 children and adolescents in primary school, middle school and kindergarten living in three areas of southern Xinjiang were investigated by First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University during 2013 to 2014 to compare the prevalence of CHD, disease distribution and difference in gender among six counties in three areas.Results In the investigation, 203 patients with CHD were detected, and the total prevalence rate was 5.16‰.The prevalence of the disease in 8-14 years old group was higher than in 5-7 years old group, and the differences was statistically significant (χ2=3.832, P<0.05).Atrial septal defects was common, and the prevalence and constituent ratio was the first (2.26 ‰, 43.84%).Conclusion The prevalence rate of CHD among minority children and adolescents aged 5-14 years old in southern Xinjiang is at the national level.The prevalence of the disease is higher in 8-14 years old group than 5-7 years old group.Atrial septal defect is prominent in constituent ratio of CHD.关键词
