PRL、POU1F1 Gene Polymorphisms and Their Association with Milk Yield of Yili Horse

Abstract
In order to analyze the polymorphisms of prolactin (PRL) gene,pituitary transcription factor 1 (POU1F1) and their association with milk yield of Yili horse,73 Yili mares from Xinjiang Yili Zhaosu ranch were selected as samples to investigate the polymorphism of PRL,POU1F1 genes using PCRRFLP technology,then performed the correlation analysis with daily milk yield.The results showed that no polymorphism was found in the CDS region of POU1F1 gene in Yili horse,but a SNP:c.210 C＞T was found in the second exon of PRL gene;a SNP:g.2758 G＞A was found in the intron of POU1F1 gene.Variance analysis results showed that no significant correlation (P＞0.05) was found between the genotypes of POU1F1 gene (c.143-262 G＞A) on daily milk yield in Yili horse,while the SNP in PRL gene showed the significant effect (P＜0.05) on daily milk yield.Therefore,PRL gene is a potential useful marker in lactation performance selection of Yili horse.关键词
